Iain has been a solicitor since 1990 and a solicitor advocate since 2001. Iain undertakes criminal trials and appeals. About 80 law firms instruct Iain in appeals and for trials.
Iain is regularly instructed in cases of murder, complex drug, sex crime, fraud, money laundering and just about every crime prosecuted in the High Court. He has many reported cases from the appeal court. Alongside his criminal defence work, Iain is available to provide lectures or seminar presentations on criminal law.
Iain says:
"My goal is to ensure the instructing solicitor and I work closely together. I believe preparation is key to a good defence. I am actively involved in the preparation and direction of the case from first instruction to the end. I pride myself in having an excellent working relationship will all solicitors who instruct me. I am available to provide emergency advice to solicitors by phone or email. This can include appeal, legal, procedural or pre-police interview advice."
Iain only accepts instructions from solicitors. He does not accept instructions directly from the public.
